Take a ride to wine region of Georgia – Kakheti, and pearl of Kakheti Sighnaghi. Sighnaghi is located in the eastern part of Kakheti, and is known as the City of Love. Sighnaghi’s fortifying wall (XVIII) is one of the longest in Georgia, it occupies 40 ha. The wall has 23 towers, each one named for a nearby town, and six gates. Town was recently fully restored and 200-year old view is preserved. The wall, houses built with Georgian bricks, wooden fretwork balconies, cobblestone pavements, wine cellars, basements and of course the inimitable views produce an unforgettable impression upon the visitors of the town.
