Day 1 – Arrival, Accommodation, Tbilisi City Tour

We meet you in Airport upon arrival and transfer to Hotel.

After short rest you will take a tour to Old Tbilisi. Starting from Holy Trinity (Sameba) cathedral church you will explore modern and old style of Tbilisi. During the short tour you will learn about Tbilisi History in Abanotubani, take photos near Leghvtakhevi waterfall, ride by cable car from Rike park to Narikala fortress, attend on performance Cycle of life on Gabriadze’s Clock tower.

Day 2 – Mtskheta, Gori, Uplistsikhe

After Breakfast you will take a tour to ancient Georgia.

You will visit Mtskheta – ancient capital of the Eastern Georgian Kingdom from the III Century BC to Fifth Century AD. It was also the location where Christianity was proclaimed as the kingdom’s official religion and continues to function as the headquarters of the Georgian Orthodox Church. In Mtskheta you’ll visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral and Samtavro Monastery.

Jvari Monastery – The VI century Georgian Orthodox monastery is built on a hill opposite Mtskheta, at the confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. The church is included on the UNESCO World Heritage Site list. 

Uplistsikhe is an abandoned rock-hewn town, which once have played an important role in Georgian history. The place was founded in the late Bronze Age, around 1000 BC, and continued to be inhabited until 13th century AD. Between the 6th century BC and the 11st century AD, Uplistsikhe was political and religious centers of  pre-Christian Kartli.

Day 3 – Sighnaghi – City of Love

After breakfast you will take a ride to wine region of Georgia – Kakheti, and pearl of Kakheti Sighnaghi.

Sighnaghi is located in the eastern part of Kakheti, and is known as the City of Love. 

Sighnaghi’s fortifying wall (XVIII c) is one of the longest in Georgia, it occupies 40 ha. The wall has 23 towers, each one named for a nearby town, and six gates. Town was recently fully restored and 200-year old view is preserved. The wall, houses built with Georgian bricks, wooden fretwork balconies, cobblestone pavements, wine cellars, basements and of course the inimitable views produce an unforgettable impression upon the visitors of the town.

Day 4 – Stepantsminda

After breakfast you will enjoy the nature of Georgia.

On the  way to mountains you will stop in banks of Zhinvali Reservoir and Ananuri fortress – built by the Dukes of Aragvi in the 13th century and included on the UNESCO Tentative list.

Confluence of black and white Aragvi rivers.

Panoramic view in Gudauri, Monument of friendship. In Gudauri you can take a paragliding experience as additional service.

Travertines on military road and village Stephantsminda (former Kazbegi).

Final point of our tour is Gergety Trinity church, located on  top of a mountain, under mount Kazbegi.

Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 5 – Borjomi, Rabati Castle, Vardzia

After breakfast you will have a long tour to south Georgia.

You will visit city Borjomi, Borjomi Park and will taste a mineral water Borjomi from natural spring. After you’ll ride

Cave Monastery complex Vardzia (XII c.). The caves stretch along the cliff for some five hundred meters and in up to nineteen tiers. Complex includes Church of Dormition, Throne room and more than 600 rooms for different types and purposes.

Tour will finished in Akhalthikhe, where you visit Rabati Castle, originally established in the 9th century. The territory of the fortress is divided into a modern and historical parts. The lower part has shops, cafes, restaurant and a hotel. The upper part comprises of Akhmediye mosque (18th century), an Orthodox church (19th century), Djakeli palace, and the History Museum.

Overnight in Akhaltsikhe or Borjomi

Day 6 – Kutaisi

After breakfast you will travel to west Georgia. During City tour you will visit Gelati Academy, Bagrati Church, White Bridge etc.

 Prometheus Cave is site of natural beauty and a must-visit site in Georgia. The cave is located in the village of Kumistavi.

Prometheus Cave developed 60-70 million years ago in the Sataphlia-Tskaltubo karst massif. While it is known to be the largest cave in Georgia, the cave’s exact size is unclear as exploration work remains underway. Here you can also enjoy boating inside the cave. Overnight in Kutaisi

Day 7 – Martvili & Okatse Canyons

After breakfast you will visit canyons. Martvili canyon used to be a bath place for Dadiani family. Now people visit it to enjoy the scenery, its waterfalls and take a boat trip in the river with deep green color

Okatse Canyon Natural Monument is a 2 km segment of a 14 km long Okatse River. The canyon depth varies from 20 to 100 meters. Canyon has several waterfalls including Kinchkha Waterfall Natural Monument and several tiny lakes. From Okatse Canyon visitor center in Gordi village a 6 km long pedestrian passageway starts with 2300 m long stone paved section in Dadiani historical forest and leads to the Okatse Canyon checkpoint where the 780 m long hanging cliff trail starts.

Transfer to Tbilisi.

Day 8 –Tbilisi, Farewell

Breakfast in Hotel. You will have free day in Tbilisi. Transfer to Tbilisi International Airport.
